Where diamonds come from
There are two kinds of diamond, natural diamond and synthetic diamond. They were brought to the surface by volcanic eruptions hundreds of millions of years ago, so humans had a chance to mine them. At present, there are two means of synthetic diamond, one is to simulate the high temperature and high pressure synthesis in nature, and the other is to use chemical vapor deposition method for synthesis. The diamond synthesized by the two methods is mainly used in industry, such as cutting tools, diamond coating (wear resistance and corrosion resistance), as polishing powder, etc., the current technology is difficult to synthesize a continuous whole like natural diamond in the short term, and commercial diamond with gem value.
